Ms. Kaufman hails from Connecticut, where her mother practices family medicine. She received her BA in English, cum laude, from Harvard University in 2012, her MA from Swansea University in 2014, and her J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis in 2019. While in law school, Ms. Kaufman worked for the St. Louis County Counselor’s office and interned with the public interest law firm Phillips Black, where she focused on obtaining postconviction relief for inmates sentenced to capital punishment.
Ms. Kaufman was inspired by the straightforward communication and creative problem-solving she sees in her mother’s medical practice, and seeks to bring the same approach to her practice of family law. She is a certified Guardian ad Litem in Franklin County and Lincoln County, Missouri.
Ms. Kaufman’s hobbies include rockhounding across the United States and offering essay-writing tips and tutoring to college-bound students.
